A day in quarantine, by Maia Borden

Hey!,

My name is Maia Borden, and this is what it looks like when we are in quarantine.

When I wake up, I take my breathing treatment, it helps me clear up my asthma and keeps me from coughing.

While I’m doing that, my sister tries catching rainbows from the mirror on the wall, she loves it!

Then I do my school work, of course! My teacher sends us the daily activities for us to do them online during the day. It actually only takes me about 60 minutes to finish.

While I work, my sister plays. She likes playing with Play Dough, or painting, or just using whatever is on the counter, like stickers and my art supplies.

After finishing my school work, I like to call my friends through FaceTime. I sometimes use the effects in the phone, and they get freaked out! It’s pretty fun.

My sister likes talking to them too, she gets very excited when I call them. She also likes getting in my room and playing with my legos.

Then we workout with our friend from London. We use a special app to do the class online.

To keep safe, my sister and I put a tent in the living room, there we play and pretend we are camping. It is very fun. I also talk to my family in there while playing.

This is me playing with my aunt. She doesn’t know I drew a mustache on her face while she was making silly faces.

At the end of the day, we like to sit outside. We sometimes have dinner there, or just play while my mom and dad relax.

I sometimes get bored of playing.

Look mom!, I lost a tooth!

For the record, I got $5 dollars from the Tooth Fairy and the Ratón de los dientes.

After all the fun, it’s time to go to sleep. Nadia lays down for the night while I read a book to my stuffed dog, Osho.

God night, everyone…
